The Iverson HPV Panel has the capability to individually detect 26 of the most significant human papilloma virus (HPV) genotypes. With this information, health care providers can make more informed choices in the care of HPV infected patients in the fight against cervical cancer. - High risk HPV types are detected in 99% of cervical cancers 1
- An estimated 26.8% of US females (age 14 to 59) had HPV infections 2
- 70% of the world's cervical cancer is caused by types 16 and 18 3, 4
- Identifying types 16 and 18 infections may be a better predictor of CIN3* and cervical cancer than current cytological methods (ASCUS or LSIL*) 4
