Institute for Systems Biology
The Institute for Systems Biology is a nonprofit biomedical research organization based in Seattle, Washington. It was founded in 2000 by systems biologist Leroy Hood, immunologist Alan Aderem, and protein chemist Ruedi Aebersold. ISB was established on the belief that the conventional models for exploring and funding breakthrough science have not caught up with the real potential of what is possible today.

SCBIO is a member organization that exists to support and advance South Carolina’s life science industry through collaboration, advocacy, workforce development, and support for business operations. This mission furthers our goal of ensuring that South Carolina's companies, research institutions, and citizens reap the economic and societal benefits of a world-class life sciences cluster.
The WBBA Team proudly serves more than 600 member organizations who are critical partners in realizing our mission. Their dedicated and collaborative team is focused on providing innovative and timely educational events, targeted networking programs, “one voice” policy support, commercialization consulting to emerging life sciences companies, scientists and entrepreneurs, and a consortium of buying power through their business solutions program.
The American College of Cardiology (ACC), based in Washington, D.C., is a nonprofit medical association established in 1949. The ACC bestows credentials upon cardiovascular specialists who meet its qualifications. Education is a core component of the College, which also states it is active in the formulation of health policy and a supporter of cardiovascular research.
PMC Personal Medical Coalition
The Personalized Medicine Coalition (PMC) is an independent, non-profit group that works to advance the understanding and adoption of personalized medicine for the ultimate benefit of patients. Our diverse members work together to educate opinion leaders and the public about the issues that will shape how personalized medicine develops - and how quickly all of us can benefit from it.
The Swank MS Foundation is a public charity and 501c3 tax-exempt foundation that provides information and resources on the Swank Low Fat Diet, vitamin supplements, and life-style changes beneficial to patients with Multiple Sclerosis, as well as their families and friends. They actively promote information on this healthy low-fat diet developed by Roy L. Swank, M.D., Ph.D. based on years of study, research and experience with multiple sclerosis patients.
