WarfarinDosing.org is a free Web site created to help doctors and other clinicians begin warfarin therapy by estimating the therapeutic dose in patients new to warfarin. The site is supported by the Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center, the NIH and donations. Estimates are based on clinical factors and (when available) genotypes of two genes: cytochrome P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) and vitamin K epoxide reductase (VKORC1).

The Community Checkup report is produced by the Puget Sound Health Alliance. The Health Alliance is a non-profit organization formed as a partnership involving doctors, hospitals, patients, employers, unions, health plans and others working together to improve health care in the Puget Sound region. The shared goal of all Alliance participants is to increase health care quality and value across King, Kitsap, Pierce, Snohomish and Thurston counties in Washington state. We define, measure, report and reward affordable health care that is proven to work.

Smartermedicalcare.org exists to
empower patients and families with information and compassion. The
Executive Director for the organization is Dr. Robert Rodvien, a board
certified internist who practiced hematology and oncology in San
Francisco for over 30 years. He has completed two postdoctoral
fellowships, one at M. I. T. In molecular biology and another at
Harvard Medical School in biomaterial sciences. His life-long goal has
been to help people with serious illnesses help themselves through a
better understanding of the medical system.
