The P4 Medicine institute (P4Mi) is driving innovative approaches to disease prevention and maintenance of health and wellness by applying systems biology to medicine and care delivery. P4Mi is recruiting clinical centers, research institutions and industrial partners to collaborate in a network of integrated demonstration projects to accelerate the emergence of a P4 healthcare system that delivers more effective clinical care at lower cost. is a free Web site created to help doctors and other clinicians begin warfarin therapy by estimating the therapeutic dose in patients new to warfarin. The site is supported by the Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center, the NIH and donations. Estimates are based on clinical factors and (when available) genotypes of two genes: cytochrome P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) and vitamin K epoxide reductase (VKORC1).

Institute for Systems Biology (ISB) is a non-profit research institution located in Seattle, Washington founded by Dr. Leroy Hood. The ISB concentrates on systems biology, the study of relationships and interactions between various parts of biological systems, and advocates an interdisciplinary approach to biological research. They use a cross-disciplinary approach combining the efforts of biologists, chemists, computer scientists, engineers, mathematicians, physicists, and physicians.
